Brno, Oct 24 (BD) – The British singer Ed Sheeran, one of the biggest artists in the world, known for his hits including ‘Shape of You’, ‘Thinking Out Loud’ and ‘Perfect’, is returning to the Czech Republic after five years. His MATHEMATICS Tour follows the record-breaking U.S. tour, which broke several attendance records, and will stop in the Czech Republic on Saturday, 27 July 2024, at the Park 360 multifunctional complex in Hradec Králové, as part of the Rock for People concert series.
“I am very happy that we can organise a concert of such a personality and a unique musician as Ed Sheeran,” said Michal Thomes from the co-organizing agency Ameba Production. “The fact that he chose Park 360 for his show in the Czech Republic, where the Rock for People festival is also our home, is a huge honour and a turning point for us.” British singer-songwriter Calum Scott will perform as a special guest. The event is held under the auspices of the Mayor of Hradec Králové, Pavlína Springerová.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Thursday, 26 October, on the GoOut, Ticketportal and Eventim.de networks. Tickets to the concert will also include the themed Park 360 Fan Zone in the immediate vicinity of the concert. Accompanying activities, including a musical and non-musical program, will take place from the morning of the concert.
The last time Ed Sheeran played in front of a Czech audience was in 2019, at two concerts in Prague’s Letňany attended by 140,000 people. His new tour will visit Europe and Asia, with a huge demand for tickets expected. In the US, Sheeran broke several records, including the largest one-day attendance of a concert in the history of the United States at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. This year, Sheeran has released two albums, “Subtract” in May and “Autumn Variations” in September, both of which reached #1 worldwide.
The co-organizer of the concert is Ameba Production, which is also the organiser for the Rock for People festival and dozens of other club, indoor and open-air concert events every year. Last year, the European Festival Awards jury ranked Ameba among the top 10 European organisers. Ed Sheeran’s show is organised together with FKP Scorpio.
