Brno, Aug 27 (BD) – From Monday, August 30th, Brno’s residential parking system will be extended to three new areas in Královo Pole: 3-04 (Poděbradova), 3-05 (Vackova) and 3-07 (Mojmírovo náměstí).
All of them will belong to Zone C, where parking regulations apply on weekdays from 5pm to 6am. One hour of parking a day is free, and costs 20 crowns for each additional hour. There are no parking ticket machines in these areas, but parking charges can be paid via the ParkSimply mobile application, online on the website www.parkovanivbrne.cz, or via SMS.
The same rules apply to residents and local business owners as in other areas. Residents wishing to park in these areas must obtain a parking permit, for an annual fee of 200 crowns for one vehicle, CZK 8,000 for a second vehicle, and CZK 12,000 for every subsequent vehicle. Local business owners must pay CZK 4,000 for the first car, and CZK 18,000 for each additional car. Permits can be obtained either by sending an application to parkovanivbrne@brno.cz, in person at the municipal office at Zvonařka 5, via a data box, or using a verified Brno iD account. All information, documents and contacts can be found on the parkovanivbrne.cz website.
Before the end of the year, the residential parking zones will expand twice more. According to the schedule, on October 11th, areas 2-04 (Haasova) and 2-05 (Záhřebská) should be added, followed on November 8th by area 3-06 (Berkova). All will be subject to Zone C rules.
