Brno, Jun 4 (BD) – The new exhibition, entitled Temple of Stone, was opened at a ceremony at 2pm on Wednesday, attended by Deputy Mayor Tomáš Koláčný (Piráti), Council Member for Investment David Grund (ODS), Council Member for Culture Marek Fišer (Piráti), and the Curator of the Lapidary Collection, Filip Kyrc.
The exhibition will open to the public on Thursday, June 4th.
A lapidarium is a collection of stone artifacts, which could include sculptures, sarcophagi, epitaphs, milestones, tombstones, etc., that are exhibited together in the same place.
The Spilberk Lapidarium contains around 30 artifacts.
