Brno, Jul 16 (BD) – “Bike paths along river streams are popular and are very much sought after. Examples are the existing paths along the Svitava or Svratka rivers, which we have in Brno. Thus, a path alongside the Leskava stream appears to be suitable, which people could use to go on trips,” explains Petr Kratochvíl, Council Member for Transport.

The route should start at the crossing of the Leskava stream with the III/15270 road. The construction of the new path will be split into two stages, with the first stage leading to an intersection with Podsedky Street. The second stage of the construction will produce a route from the end of the Lány area, to the exit to Rajhradská Street.

Altogether, the path’s distance will be around 1.6 kilometers, and is estimated to cost around CZK 15 million.
