Brno, Jun 30 (BD) – Tomorrow is July 1st: summer holidays are here. Two months filled with festivals are beginning. Are you still working? Don’t forget that July 5 is a public holiday.
One of the biggest international dance meetings in the world is back to Brno. Street Dance Kemp festival 2019 features DJs from all around the world and organizes workshops. Last Friday, the summer open-air cinema at the courtyard of Brno’s City Hall opened its doors! Recently released English-language movies will be shown, as well as indie movies. Learn more by reading our article “Summer Open-Air Cinemas Return to Brno”, or by visiting their official website.
You usually go to Galerie Vankovka to go shopping, but what do you know – during the whole summer, music, theater, cinema, yoga and fun will take place! Come join in with everyone, on Thursday at 7 PM to enjoy reggae music. You can find all the organized events of the Galerie Vaňkovka Fest on their website (only in Czech).
As we already announced on Instagram, Author’s Reading Month – the largest literary festival in Central Europe that was created in Brno in the year 2000 – arrives in Brno for its 20th edition! This year’s guest of honor is Romania. At 7 and 8:30 PM, author’s meeting are organized, and you can find out more on the official programme.
Great atmosphere, an important historical heritage and a fascinating old town. You got the gist, the Boskovice festival is back for its 27th Edition. From July 4 to 7 the Jewish quarter Boskovice will be filled with music, literature, theatre, exhibitions and more. You can check the complete program on the official website.
If you like open-air cinema, how can you not fall in love with open-air opera? On Saturday, you can watch Puccini’s Tosca being performed in the Špilberk’s castle main courtyard. You can find more information on our previous article.
A run will take place on Saturday at 9:30 AM in the observatory park at Kraví Hora. The run is for free and you can get more information on the run’s website (only in Czech).
Do you prefer eating there, rather than running? Why not come to Brunch’n’Park event on Sunday? Eat at Kraví Hora from 2 PM and have good food and drinks with music.
Are guitars the best thing ever? Did you know that there is a festival dedicated to your favourite musical instrument? The Guitar Festival Mikulov brings significant guitar personalities from July 7 until July 13. Workshops, exhibitions and masterclasses are also organized. All the information awaits you on the festival’s website.
