Brno, May 30 (BD) – The festival had its opening on May 29, and it was attended by Brno’s First Deputy Mayor Petr Hladík. Meeting Brno will be available to the public until June 9.
This year’s edition of the festival, according to the organizers, is dedicated to the freedom the countries of Czechia and Slovakia experienced in 1989 during the Velvet Revolution.
Having a program filled with discussions and artistic performances, the Meeting Brno Festival offers its visitors the opportunity to meet and get to know people. The festival’s attendees will also be able to learn more about other cultures and opinions.
The festival is held under the auspices of the Mayor Markéta Vaňková of Brno, and the Governor of the South Moravian Region, Bohumil Šimek. The project is financially supported by the City of Brno and the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
