Brno, Apr 10, 5:12pm (BD) – The incident occurred on Štefánikova between Šumavská and Kartouzská tram stops. The road was blocked due to the crash, with police officers controlling traffic.
According to Michaela Bothová, spokeswoman for the South Moravian Medical Emergency Services (ZZS JMK), a young man, most likely the driver of the tram, was injured in the crash: “He had a minor injury to his arm. We treated him on site and then transported him to the trauma center at Bohunice Hospital.”
The cause of the crash is as yet unknown. “We are going to the site to begin investigating the causes and results of the accident,” said police spokesman Petr Zámečník.
“Fortunately, this time it was only a minor accident,” added Bothová.
