Brno, Jan 24 (BD) – According to David Chaloupka of Czech Police, “the attack began with racist abuse from a group of four men towards a 31-year-old foreign national due to his skin colour. According to the victim, the men then forced him to the ground and began beating him. At this point, the victim managed to escape and ran onto Starobrněnská, where one of his attackers caught up with him and again began to attack him. It was this attack that was captured on film by one of the city’s CCTV cameras.”

Chaloupka describes the perpetrator as “around 30 years old, well-built, and around 180 cm, with a distinctive circular tattoo on his right calf. He speaks poor Czech, and therefore may also himself be a foreign national.” Police are asking any members of the public with information to call the emergency number 158.
