The Titanic is to Emerge in Brno
A unique exhibition about the Titanic will open at the end of October at the Brno Exhibition Centre, displaying artefacts recovered from the most famous sunken ship in history. Fans of the equally famous movie will be able to have their photo taken at the front of the ship, like Rose and Jack in the legendary scene from the film. Photo credit: JVS Group.
Brno, Oct 9 (BD) – Visitors can wander through replicas of the cabins and engine room of the famous ship, and view nearly 200 items that were brought back to land from the wreck.
“The exhibition will be brought to Brno by more than a dozen trucks. They will be bringing hundreds of original artefacts, including personal items such as jewellery, glasses, documents, playing cards, clothes, and perfume bottles that still smell,” said exhibition curator Květa Havelková.
The exhibition begins on October 30, and runs until the end of March 2019 in Pavilion C of the Brno Exhibition Center. Entry is CZK 300 for adults on working days, and CZK 350 at weekends.
