Brno, May 14 (BD) – Following a fantastic 4-3 victory over Russia on Thursday the Czech Republic continued their impressive run in the Ice Hockey World Championship in Denmark with a resounding 6-0 victory over France.

Currently, in third place with 12 points (Sweden have 14, Russia, 13) the Czechs only need to beat Austria (currently 7th in the group of 8 with 4 points) on Monday to guarantee qualification for the quarter-finals. However, if they lose, and Slovakia and Switzerland win their remaining games, they will go out.

The odds are in favour of the Czechs, so fingers crossed for Monday’s game.
