Brno, May 8 (BD) – Three elephants from a visiting circus were walked across the City of Přerov in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic last week.

“The police found out about this unauthorised and irresponsible act by the visiting circus, putting an immediate end to it, and the elephants were accompanied back to the circus,” Přerov Metropolitan Police reported.

Following orders from the municipal police, inspectors from the State Veterinary Inspection examined the animals and confirmed that they had not been subject to any abuse, Czech TV reported.

During the walk, the elephants blocked the roundabout and caused traffic problems.
