Brno, Nov 11 (BD) – The roadworks on D1 and D2 near Brno are set to finish by the beginning of December.
Bad driver behavior is a contributor to clogged roads, but bad road conditions often spark the problem.
The roadworks on D1 in Ostrovačice are scheduled to finish today, which will grant the normal traffic flow from Brno until the exit on the 153rd kilometer.
The biggest problem on highway D1 close to Brno will be allegedly solved at the latest by November 18.
“The repair of one part of the bridge in direction to Vyškov will be completed and the bridge opens again. Currently, only three asphalt layers remain to be done. We will start repairing the other half of the bridge in March and leave the traffic in both directions in two lanes,” Jan Rýdl, the spokesperson for the Road and Highway Directorate [Ředitelství silnic a dálnic – ŘSD], explained to Czech daily Brnenska Drbna.
Long-running roadworks that have been causing endless traffic jams on the D2 at the entry to to Brno will finally be finished December 2.
