Czech Beer FOR HER Caused a Ruckus in the UK
Czech Republic, August 12 (BD) – Ladies can find a special beer ‘for her’ now – Aurosa. The product has received very negative feedback on social media after its release in the UK market earlier this year. Photo: Ivan Kašša
Martina Šmírová the founder of Aurosa aims to sell a luxury beer that can compete with champagne and expensive wines. Any woman can drink her beer while wearing a formal or cocktail dress and keep the classy look, the brand highlights in campaign. Šmírová says the beer is a “representation of a woman’s strength and a girl’s tenderness”.
Aurosa beer is being sold in a pretty pink bottle. The unique bottle can be used as a decoration too and is definitely cute. The premium unfiltered semi dark beer is traditionally produced in the Rychvald castle area near Ostrava.
The company was founded in 2015 and started producing for domestic market. The beer has been already introduced into the British and French market.
Aurosa & why ‘beer made for women’ needs to die
A part of British customers consider the Aurosa beer sexist and the product has received very negative and even angry comments on Twitter and other social media platforms. For example, one thread on Reddit discussion website is named “Aurosa & Why The Idea of ‘Beer Made For Women’ Needs to Die”.
The company defended itself by stating that they just wanted to offer a beer in an elegant and beautiful bottle, a product that would celebrate femininity and elegance.
“Aurosa was never intended to take part in sexism, feminism or the like. It was never intended to dictate what women should or shouldn’t drink. We are simply a brand that wants to offer beer in an elegant and beautiful bottle,” the company wrote.
Will you try this ‘beautiful beer’? The product is offered in the Czech Republic and rest of Europe in the company’s online store. If you are in Prague, you can personally visit the Aurosa boutique and find unique art pieces and of course, reputedly the most elegant beer.
