Brno, June 23 (BD) – Last night’s storm was a complete contrast to the sweltering heatwave of past few days, when daytime temperatures reached a sweaty 35 °C. Besides a spectacular light show, the storm brought several damages on property.

During the night storms, South-Moravian firemen had to drive out to dozens of cases. Most work required removing of fallen trees. We bring you statistics about firemen’s night visits. Not all the cases have been resolved yet.

In Brno, there were reported a few cases of in-leaks in apartment buildings.

“Luckily, no injuries were reported,” informs Jaroslav Mikoška from South-Moravian Fire Rescue Service.

  • 77 x removal of fallen trees
  • 1 x removing barriers (billboard on Hodonínsko)
  • 2 x tackling hazardous conditions (Brno)

  • 6 x Blanensko
  • 9 x Brno-city
  • 17 x Brno-Country
  • 13 x Břeclavsko
  • 20 x Hodonínsko
  • 4 x Vyškovsko
  • 7 x Znojmo
  • 1 x trip to the Highlands

Events went without injury.
